Legendary Scooter Travels Cross Country

Legendary Scooter Travels Cross Country
, originally uploaded by Master Jeffrey.

I was emailed recently about a painted scooter named "Legend" by
Jeffrey Holmes. He painted his 49cc 2006 TnG Venice with stars and stripes last summer and then took it on a 1400 mile cross country trip from from New Orleans to Key West and Back to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

It was a solo trip (no chase vehicle or other participants) and he still
drives her daily and is currently working on a 93 Buick Hearse aka Vodou 1. Cant wait to add that to our collection of Hearses here on art car central. Great work.

Gator Bike covered in Alligator skin to the rescue

Gator Bike covered in Alligator skin to the rescue

Jim Jablon didn't want his alligator skin to go to waste so he covered his motorcycle and making it the fastest road kill on record. It was given away in a charity fundraiser for an animal rehab center that has rescued dozens of exotic pets, including this albino Burmese python named Arctic.

The skin is detachable but the head is fixed perm-anently into the handlebars and has the speedometer implanted into the back of the skull.

Modification Honda win

solo50#5

Torsinya gimana? cukuplah 0,39 kg-m/6000rpm motor ekonomis ini menurut beberapa testimoni sanggup digeber sampai 90-an Km/jam. IMHO Sok depan teleskopik, ukurannya mirip dengan sok standar Honda Win, Sok belakangnya yang hampir terlentang mirip desain Sok kawasaki ER6 he he he he, Single seater membuatnya sebagai motor yang angkuh ( nggak mau boncengin orang ). Mesin 4Tak celentang 49 cc lahyang memperkuat alasan mengapa motor ini menjadi referensi modif buat Honda Win, Honda S90 dan motor-motor lainnya yang masih menganut blok silinder ‘celentang’. Semoga Berguna

Comfortable High Heel Shoe car

It looks just about as comfortable as a pair of high heels, too. Is it a car, a shoe, or a motorcycle? Yes. this design car is funny because high heel shoe car looks simple design and comfortbale.

New Design Concept Icare motorcycle Ideas

Maybe I’m still on an awesome motorcycle kick from The Dark Knight, but I saw this Icare prototype by the folks over at Enzyme and nearly wet myself. The Icare looks something like Kanada’s bike from Akira but stolen and appropriated by Batman, and I absolutely love it. There seem to be two versions as well, the one in the top photo, and then the two below it. I’m slightly in love with the top version and it’s uni-light, something about that makes my heart flutter.

The bike is designed to use a six-cylinder 1.8 liter Honda engine, which I guess should give you some pretty decent power. I just think it would be awesome to tear around town on one of these, people would totally think you’re some kind of super hero. But as usual this is still just a prototype, and I’m sure when it comes out it’ll cost a pretty penny, but it’s always nice to look, right?

Brimstone Quadracycle is a DeathwishMobile with a Bullet

Ostensibly a mash-up between a four-wheeled quad, a motorcycle and a drag car, what we have here is the closest thing you can get to a V8 engine strapped to a Power Wheels. Seriously, this is like a real-life childhood fantasy wrought in metal... almost brings a tear to the eye, doesn't it? It's absolutely insane. And yes, off course we'd gladly take it for a spin.

Brimstone is reportedly willing to build you one with as much as 750 horsepower from a 455 cubic inch aluminum Dart V8. Performance figures? How 'bout zero to sixty in 2.8 seconds? Or, better yet, zero to 120 in six seconds flat. It's even fuel efficient, returning up to 30 mpg, and it can be equipped with a hitch to tow a small boat. They're taking orders now, but you'll have to claim a spot behind us.

Power-to-weight ratio – that metric might be the most meaningful performance measurement to consider when judging exactly what piece of machinery you should or shouldn't strap yourself into/onto. If you're the type that wants to leave this world with a giant smile on your face and bugs in your teeth, allow us to introduce you to the Brimstone Quadracycle.

2009 Batpod makes a field trip

The San-Diego Comic Con is now in full swing, and amidst all the panels and personal appearances, there's no shortage of static displays to check out either. Our man Drew Phillips strolled through the halls to see what's what and sent back some photos of the wheeled attractions dotting the floor.

First up? The Batpod, natch. As you can see, The Dark Knight's ride is roped off to keep it protected from the rabble, but at the show's conclusion, we think its minder should put those cannons to good use by blasting a hole through the San Diego Convention Center's wall and riding out in style. And he ought to wear these, too.

Video: Marotti concept reverse three-wheeler from Poland

When viewed from the front at a standstill the car/cycle looks cool and futuristic. But seen from the side, and in motion, it looks like an odd combination of a stubby-nosed sports car mated with a segway.

Morotti concept reverse three-wheeler

To call the Marotti three-wheeled concept car "unusual looking" is a massive understatement. A new video of the airplane-inspired machine has just been released, and show's the car from sketch, to production, to test driving.

Morotti concept reverse three-wheeler

In profile, it does not actually look like a fighter jet, as implied, but rather like an early space shuttle mockup. Although it accomplishes cool things, the space shuttle is commonly referred to as a "flying brick" because it is both heavy and lacking in supreme aerodynamics.

Morotti concept reverse three-wheeler

The prototype is fitted with a double rocker arm at the front, roller rocker arm at the back, and an adjustable shock system. Disk brakes are used, but we wouldn't mind seeing heavy duty calipers and disks on the machine.

Anyway, the vehicle does have a killer amount of power, considering its light 440 kg weight. It uses a 750 cc Honda V4 engine that produces 100 horsepower, and is controlled with a sequential six-speed gearbox.

The Marotti concept was shown off earlier this year in Poland at the Poznan Automotive Meetings Design Forum.

Unfortunately, Marotti will continue to push the car's appearance. That may not be such a good idea, as the car/cycle is clearly designed to appeal to the few, not the many.

Sidecar Motorcycling: Laverada Supercar

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Here's someone who has made from a Laverda motorcycle a sidecar. Not just any sidecar, but a supercar sidecar, including gulfwing doors. The sidecar part looks amazing, a true work of art. It's almost like it came straight out of the factory.work of art. It's almost like it came straight out of the factory.

Take François Knorreck of Italy. After some 10,000 hours of work over a ten-year period and at a cost of 15,000 euros, Knorreck created a unique sidecar motorcycle called the Snaefell – likely named after the tallest peak on the famed Isle of Man. Half the machine is based on the guts of a Laverda motorcycle, while the other half uses bits from a Volkswagen GTI, Audi 80 and a Citroen Xantia.

Equally as interesting is this mashup that combines what appears to be an older British motorcycle with a cut-down Citroen 2CV sidecar. It seems both machines are in fully working order with the older 2CV still sporting what we assume is an inoperative a steering wheel.

Parts were used from other vehicles, like a Kawasaki 1000, VW Golf GTI, Audi 80 and a Citroen Xantia car. Further gear was found on BMW and Renault cars.

FOTA looks to MotoGP for 2010 breakaway

Casey Stoner in action in Mugello

Carmelo Ezpeleta could be the figure FOTA turns to if the major teams decide to quit Formula One at the end of the year, according to the Spanish sports newspaper Diario AS.

Ezpeleta is the CEO of Madrid-based Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holder of F1's two-wheeled equivalent MotoGP.

Dorna was bought by CVC, F1's current owner, in 1998 but is now controlled by its management.

It has been credited with transferring the rule-making power of the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) to the GP Manufacturers Association (MSMA).

The newspaper said the Formula One Teams Association has already had contact with Ezpeleta, who would be reportedly willing to take command of a breakaway series should the eight FOTA members decide to create their own.

A few F1 drivers, including double champion Fernando Alonso and current titleholder Lewis Hamilton, have indicated their readiness to follow their teams into a new series.
